My Role in Procurement Services

As card services manager, I assist cardholders with some of the more complex situations they may face, such as fraudulent transactions and disputing charges.  My responsibilities for the relationship with our provider, U.S. Bank, include not only P-Card and T&H Card, but also ghost cards for cyBUY and other suppliers, gift cards, per diem cards, and our e-payables program.  

I help the card services team with our administrative processes to ensure successful experiences for our cardholders, as well as compliance with university policies.  Monitoring the performance of our programs helps the team understand our successes and challenges and where to focus our efforts in making improvements.

Highlighting a Recent Project or Accomplishment 

In fall 2023, we implemented a program using pre-paid debit cards for student athletes and band members to receive their per diem allowances.   This eliminated the need to handle cash and provided a means to recover funds if a card was reported as lost. Over 1100 cards have been issued since the program began.

Our team recently worked with the finance business analysts and IT Services to develop integrations into Workday with cardholder training dates, which replaced the need for manual data entry.  Over 1200 P-Card and more than 650 T&H Cardholder profiles have been updated in Workday by uploading spreadsheets or importing data from Workday Learning in the past year.
