Spotlighting Recent Successes: Office Supplies Contract
After several months of reviews, including proposals and presentations, Iowa State will continue to work with ODP (formerly known as Office Depot) for the next three years!
Five suppliers responded to the bid for the Iowa State office supplies contract with extensive proposals. Each proposal was approximately 50 pages in length (excluding support documentation) and after several months of review and review meetings, 4 suppliers were invited to provide a first-round presentation.
The first-round presentations were followed by additional review and a request for follow-up presentations. The final selection was then made and a contract was awarded to the office supply bid that offered the best value to Iowa State University.
The office supply contract that has been awarded to ODP (formerly Office Depot) is for 3 years with the option to renew for an additional 3 years.
What does this mean for you?
The ODP catalog will remain in cyBUY, and it will seem mostly the same, but you will also start to see new features that have been included in this contract begin to be rolled out over the next several months. These new features do address some of the requests received through the cyBUY Feedback Surveys, including more flexibility with ordering online and shopping in stores. We will be sure to let you know just as soon as these new features are in place and are available for use by Iowa State Employees!
Does Central Stores have office supplies available?
Central Stores has over 6,000 products available on campus, including some office supplies! All of the items that are available through Central Stores can be viewed through their online catalog or by stopping by and shopping in their remodeled physical store, which can be found in room 192 of the General Services Building.
